Have you ever?

Have you ever?
Have you ever been so afraid that waking up is a dread?
Have you ever seem so dead and lost and still showing fake smile?
Have you ever heard people tell you that you are a genius, special and even intelligent and you are looking above your shoulders thinking that it is not you they are talking about?
Have you ever been so afraid of starting a biz, career or even a relationship cos you are feeling that  you are bound to fail?
Have you gotten so good at procrastination that you have become a genius at saying “I will do it tomorrow?”
Have you written so many ideas and prospects that are nouveau but you are so afraid to start?
But…..
What if you just do it? Does it matter if people talk or not
What if you start and you fail? It just means that you won’t make that mistake again
What if you register that business? At least you will tell yourself that you are also part of the people who now have a business.
Just start it…
What if?
What if not?
N.B. Always tell yourself this:
Though I walk through valley low
I’ll fear no evil
As the waters still my soul
My heart will trust in you

waiting sucks

                                                   WAITING SUCKS
 Pointless…pointless and pointless again
For how much long will I wait?
How far should I exercise faith?
When will I celebrated
Or, do I even have a chance at all
Waiting sucks

Education I got
Skills I acquired
Knowledge, a part of me
Creativity, my life
Waiting sucks….

Mschew..!!! I am not waiting no more
I am going to do what I want
Heaven, stay where you are
That still quiet voice- “hush, please”
I will do what I want
But a still small voice whispers “wait”

Wailing softly…………
I have tried my own way
I crashed, seriously I crashed
I lost all, I mean everything
I am back to ground nothing
And though waiting sucks
I will be waiting
Because, When God tells you to wait
“He wants to give you the best”

Dead man walking

Dead man walking
Have you ever attended a burial and just before the coffin is lowered into mother earth, you hear a knock from the coffin and the dead man saying something like this: “hold on, don’t leave me here”. My guess is as good as yours, the next thing that will happen is that your legs will take an automatic decision by moving so fast that you will most likely lose some pounds.
Let me give you symptoms so to know whether you are a dead man walking or not.
  • People become a problem to avoid
  • Decisions become a job and not fun
  • You are always thinking about retiring even you start working
  • No peace
  • Your health status is reading red
These are just a part of the whole, you can add more to them if you like. The next time the above symptoms are noticeable in your life you need to know that suffering will change but not for the better so you better wake up.
So ask yourself these questions and write them down:
  1. What dispels  or appeals to me
  2. Who are my circle of influence
  3. Where is my final destination
  4. Can I just stop and take a peek of my life
A person who can look farther back can look farther ahead.  Take stock of your life, career, finance, emotional bank account, health, relationships and God. Are you were you were meant to be or are you just lagging behind. These questions are necessary to help you become a driver and not just a passenger for your own destiny.
Self awareness will let you know that everybody have got flaws but by understanding your flaws and then flushing out your many weakness, you live a life of impact , purpose, true respect for one another and regard to God.
There are any people who are already dead but are still walking, it’s just a matter of time and we will find them in their graveyard: frustration, sadness, guilt, discomfort, failure and setbacks.
Stand up today and tell yourself that “I am a new born baby of hope and future and I have buried the past. Though I have been dead and walking now I am alive and running to just achieve one thing i.e. purpose”
Have a great life.

iI MADE A MISTAKE...SO WHAT

I made mistake… so what??????
I sat down with one of my friends who was raped and has had to have two extra years in the university because she had to take care of the baby. I asked her what has kept her going and she answered that, “I made a mistake... so what?” that got me humbled.
So have you lost your something so precious to you that you have just lost hope about everything in this life? Is that job not forthcoming because you know that deep within you are qualified for that job? Is your marriage not working? Are things just in a standstill in your life? So what?, you haven’t gotten what you want , does that mean that you are now at the end of the rope?
Don’t try to be too strong for yourself. There is a level at which you can bottle up issues in a bottle, but the day the lid is open, it’s always like an explosion. So, If you are sad, if the best thing that can heal you is to sing, dance, rap, write (like I am doing) or even cry, please do what will make you heal up. What can heal you can be awkward but face that failure again and tell yourself that I won’t give up now, because I am almost there. Take a piece of paper and write out all the things that you are not pleased about and burn it. Start your own self healing. Talk to yourself and remember the good things you have experienced in life.
You will never heal up fast, if you don’t ask yourself that question; I made a mistake… so what???
Enjoy your life

NaijaMen are from AFRICA -Naijawomen are from Fantasy land

I sat down one evening after a close shave of breakup with my spouse I asked myself, what exactly went wrong? Trying not to be biased and self righteous, I thought of a lot of things and then this flashback………
Back in the days when we were young, did our fathers open the doors for their spouses or did they have to buy chocolate and say sweet nothing to our mothers? Best to my own knowledge, lai lai
So how come they survived several decades together and didn’t think of break-up or even go through a divorce? So what’s happening with the increase of break-ups, 30 days marriages and then they split? Something must be definitely wrong somewhere.
The media has not helped either. We see a lot of programmes, shows, read a lot of romantic novels, romantic movies( I still do) and  we expect our Naija men to practice what we(ladies)have seen on tv,magazines not forgetting that black and white are extreme opposites. See, I am not trying to be a critic here, because I am also a woman, but I have got to learn a lot and adjust in my relationship and this is just a self-reminder also.
I have now thought it fit to address the issue in my own way using this principles:
·       Don’t expect so much from him, he is not Jehovah El shaddai
·       Snap out from your world of fantasy. If he doesn’t do what you see in the movie but he takes care of you very well, develop self worth and start doing those things to yourself.
·       Treat your spouse like a friend: true friends are loyal, sacrificial, humble, respectful, patience
·       Develop the three EXs- experience, expertise and excellence in your relationship
·       Pls don’t forget, please don’t forget(I am repeating  it deliberately) you are an African woman and your true beauty is character not war.
·       For God’s sake, know something about everything
·       Coolu, coolu coolu temper: take it easy, it’s not the way you see thing. Look at the matter in another perspective
·       Abegi, enjoy this life jare, you have got only one of it.

There are not many good spouses out there, if you have got one that loves you sincerely, snap out from your world of fantasy and love him right.
Have a great life.

words that inspire me...

  1. We need organizations where power comes much from below than above, where every idea gets a chance to compete on a equal footing and where someone's capacity counts more than their title.
  2.  The future is already around but it is unequally distributed .
  3. It is either you are in the vanguard or old guard
  4. Africa produce products they don't consume and consume products they don't produce.
  5.  We teach what we know but reproduce what we are.
  6. Not every leader is a reader but every reader is a leader.
  7.  This cause is a cause for which i will gladly invest every day for the rest of my life, and a purpose for which I am fully prepared to die
  8. 8.Who do you say you are again?
 ·

my prayers everyday

Dear God, Opportunities abound. Please help me to discern when an opportunity is something that You have placed before me and when it is something that would be contrary to Your will. Stir my conscience and bring questions, examples, and Scripture to my mind that will guide me in this process. Help me to consider biblical values; ethics; the gifts, skills, and abilities You have given me; my family and other commitments; and anything else they may open my eyes to the truth. Encourage me to grasp the opportunities You give and to turn from the opportunities that I should not touch. Thank You, God, for Your hands of guidance and Your arms of love. In Jesus' name, amen

what transpired last night???

Dont give up on God cos He wont give up on you.
most of the pain we experience in life occurs in the night of our lives but know that it is just the night...... its only for a while,it wont be for a long time and the morning comes and joy comes. i have wondered why pregnant women who just put to bed with all the groanings that they will never come to the hospital again and so on and immediately they smile and are full of joy just seeing the child and it feels that they had never experienced pain. thats what transpires from the night to the morning .
so tell yourself this:Good morning self, its the dawn of the new day.it might not be the way i wanted things to be but i would never give up on God, cos He will never give up on me......
good morning your excellency, good night pains, sadness and grief
enjoy grace.

can a woman be perfect

Can a woman be perfect?
I have heard asked myself this funny question? Can there be a perfect woman ever?
Wow, that can be questionable considering the way the world is going but well I think there can be. You must be disagreeing with me but let’s consider these options:
·         If your heart (man) trusts in her totally
·         If she is homely and has an handy work
·         If she is industrious, intelligent and humble
·         If she cares for those in need.
·         If she is very neat, takes good care of her inside and outside
·         If she fears God and speaks the truth in love
·         If she has an excellent spirit
·         If she is just herself, no pretence and false attitude in life
I know that they are inexhaustible but these ones are just the basics every lady should have.
So I encourage every lady to know that beauty is not make up and smiles, it’s from within then  without and it cannot be forged or smeared at all.
Your true work will praise you.

life is made for celebration

The cloud giggling
The thunder roaring
The wind dancing
Then the rain pours out From Gods throne room
 Do men laugh often?
 Can a woman smile sometimes?
Would you please just let that child Scream for a while?
If not, we will always Fall sick,
die even Until, we recognize that
 Life is made for celebration.

the peacock

The peacock Her courage spread in its wings
You come close ,you become jealous
She smile and sings you a love song
 You don’t understand
 Is she beautiful?
No reply
 No need for any response
Cos it’s so obvious That she is bold and beautiful
The envy of all creatures
God’s joy in creation
She’s worth it
Give it to her
She’s the peacock

examination fever

Examination fever Tick tock tick tock My heart beats faster again There goes the battlefield dawning on me Here comes the victory staring at my face Have I prepared my pen For free flow of writing Or have I depended on my friends For clean dubbing And now The heart beats faster again …….gbim, gbim, gbim…… Its better to weep now With my head bent down on my books Than to weep With my head facing the roof When I am caught asking for a cue “stand up and get out” becomes my judge Now my heart continues to beat agam Tick tock tick tock…. This have I sworn No cheating to make My name dragged on the mud of disgrace So lets the study reading And now my heart beats Tick tick tick……

african beauty

Look at me I am black and beautiful Or are you blind? Cant you see I glitter!!! I love my skin I don’t roast it with leaves Yet you ask “who are you?” ‘Cause you have been burnt Ah! Ah! Look well I am black I am beautiful I am an African Above all…… I am an ideal naija lady Love me for whom I am

naija pride ?

You flaunt a foreigner’s flag Can’t get a visa to go there Don’t want to stay here Then why do you disturb us With your mistaken identity As for me The green and white stands forever With total pride I recite and oblige my national anthem So, if that’s all I’ll pass to posterity Then on my grave side I shall smile proclaiming I am a Nigerian I am too proud to let her down

SONG OF A LASUITE

Song of a lasuite Though you call my college A slaughter house I call her A storehouse of academia You call her A den of fools I call her A desired foothold You call her a citadel of disgust I call her my citadel of excellence But In all No matter what I am proud To be a lasuite

THE NEW NIGERIA

The new Nigeria The clock ticks Puan paun Where will you be When the new Nigeria is born? Would you be in the prison? Would you be in the battlefield? Would you be among the change makers? Or just another wasted element This vow have I made. No matter where I am When the clock clicks… I will be an gemstone A generation empowered Motivated Stirred to operate With this natural excellence I won’t fail my God So where you be When the clock ticks For a new Nigeria?

The girl in me

I love shopping at park and shop I drive an E-class I move with the happening babes But ….. I love kokoro, sisipelebe, ekana gowon I like playing with the swing I still grind my sweet with my saliva I love crying when reprimanded Though an adult, The child in me still want more…..

Tribute to Nelson Mandela

Slowly and swiftly he moves A king cannot forget it’s roots You tormented him for so long Yet he still rules You gave him the throne He put it back in your hands Are you sure he is a leader An African one for that matter? He is black Yet his heart’s pure as snow You call him a leader I call him a father If only children learn from fathers And fathers prepare their children More of you will emerge A gem in our age
